I have a ton of blogging to catch up on and usually I do them in chronological order as I shoot them but this one is just too good not to share. My good friend and fellow photographer, Zoya Dawn and I have done a couple shoots together in the past. Our first was in January at Beluga point, see here and right before I moved we did another at the Butte in the Matsu Valley, see here. We always have such a fun time shooting together, it's more like a couples on a date and we get to tag along and play paparazzi (sometimes creeper ha!) When Zoya and I started planning this in February, we decided on a theme and Zoya planned and styled this whole thing! It turned out so amazing and she definitely has a gift for details and an eye for style. We collaborated with our friend and amazing photographer/videographer Megan Rai Freeman and the rest is pure magic! Seriously we found our selves aweing and oohing the whole time. I will not forget this day.
Treking through the Alaskan wilderness with out stuff, I made sure to carry the 15 tier cookie cake made by Cakes by Velvet, so that if we stumbled upon a grizzly bear, I could chuck it at it and make a run for it. Haha! Models Valerie and Elijah were such sports as we shot in a mosquito invested field and dealt with our rowdy characters. Blasting Nicki Minaj and shots of Pendleton certainly didn't helo!
Flowers are by Paper Peony and Elijah wore a burgundy suit from Asos and Valerie wore a stunning beaded dress by Needle and Thread London. Zoya made the macramé on a copper stand!I hope you enjoy and take in this pure magic.
